Samsung Electronics announced on the 20th that it had successfully wrapped up the 'Galaxy Watch Run @Safari' event held at Everland on the 19th.
This event was designed as a unique running experience where participants could try out the Galaxy Watch 8 Series, equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) features optimized for running, while running through Everland’s Safari World and Lost Valley—areas usually accessible only by vehicle.
About 700 people, selected by lottery, took part in the event. They ran 4.82 kilometers through Safari World and Lost Valley, enjoying a distinctive running experience alongside animals.
Participants also used the 'Google Gemini' feature on the Galaxy Watch 8 Series to activate Samsung Health’s running mode via voice command, taking advantage of AI to enhance their run.
Samsung Electronics provided all finishers with a commemorative medal shaped like the Galaxy Watch 8, a one-day pass to Everland, and other event souvenirs.
Lim Sung-taek, Executive Vice President and Head of Samsung Electronics Korea, stated, “The Galaxy Watch Run, which is being held for the first time this year, offers a unique opportunity to run through Everland before opening hours and in areas normally accessible only to animals. The Galaxy Watch is evolving into a smarter health management tool, serving as a personal trainer on runners’ wrists and offering customized running coaching programs.”
