[Financial News] The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) is continuing its upward trend, nearing the 3,800 mark during intraday trading.
As of 1:58 p.m. on the 17th, the KOSPI was trading at 3,763.05, up 14.68 points (0.39%) from the previous session.
The KOSPI opened at 3,732.76, down 15.61 points (0.42%) from the previous day. At one point during the session, the index climbed as high as 3,794.87, up 46.50 points (1.24%).
In the KOSPI Market, individual investors are net buyers of 85.4 billion won, while foreign investors are also net buyers of 52.1 billion won. In contrast, institutional investors are net sellers of 126.6 billion won.
Most large-cap stocks are on the rise. Samsung Electronics is trading at 98,250 won, up 0.56% from the previous day. SK hynix (3.54%) and LG Energy Solution (3.21%) are also posting gains.
By sector, electricity/gas (5.69%) and electrical/electronics (1.66%) are leading the gains.
The KOSDAQ Index is trading at 863.97, down 1.44 points (0.17%) from the previous day.
