According to Financial News, Kumho Engineering & Construction announced on the 17th that it had signed an MOU with Radiovi, an environmental design specialist, to jointly develop upcycled landscaping facilities.
Through this agreement, the two companies will develop upcycled landscaping facilities for residents by utilizing waste materials generated at construction sites. The facilities will be introduced to ARTERA complexes where Kumho Engineering & Construction’s landscaping specialty brand, Artsis, is applied.
Radiovi is an environmental design company that produces rest facilities using waste materials, ultra-high-performance concrete, and 3D printing technology. Radiovi will select and process waste safety helmets and other materials from Kumho Engineering & Construction sites for use in landscaping facilities, while Kumho Engineering & Construction will participate in the design development for ARTERA residents.
The upcycled landscaping facilities are expected to be expanded to additional ARTERA complexes in the future. Previously, upcycled benches and large planters were installed at Bundang Athera in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and Gangneung Gyodong Athera in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, creating comfortable rest areas for residents.
A representative from Kumho Engineering & Construction stated, “Through our collaboration with Radiovi, we aim to transform discarded resources into valuable spatial assets and provide ARTERA residents with a unique relaxation experience. Moving forward, we will continue to foster an eco-friendly landscaping culture based on the ARTERA brand philosophy, which values harmony among nature, people, and space.”
