[Financial News] Jaesung Yoo, Acting Commissioner General of the KNPA, stated, "We are mobilizing all available resources to respond to employment fraud and confinement crimes targeting our nationals in the Kingdom of Cambodia."
In his opening remarks at the National Assembly audit of the KNPA on the morning of the 17th, Acting Commissioner Yoo emphasized, "We will pursue effective response measures to swiftly ensure the safety of our citizens."
He continued, "Currently, the head of the National Office of Investigation is assessing the local situation and discussing response strategies with authorities in the Kingdom of Cambodia. Next week, we will negotiate the establishment of a Korean Desk and a permanent cooperation system through a bilateral meeting with the Cambodian police."
He added, "With the newly established Pan-Governmental Integrated Response Team at the center, we will respond to voice phishing (vishing) crimes in real time, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, without interruption. We are making every effort to reduce crime damage by relentlessly tracking and apprehending criminal organizations based overseas."
