The 21st Hoengseong Korean Beef Festival will take place from the 22nd to the 26th. To improve transportation convenience for visitors, KTX-Eum trains will make temporary stops at Hoengseong station during the festival.
The Hoengseong Culture and Tourism Foundation announced on the 15th that, in cooperation with the KORAIL Gangwon Regional Headquarters, KTX-Eum trains will temporarily stop at Hoengseong station to facilitate visitor transportation during the 21st Hoengseong Korean Beef Festival.
All regular trains will operate as usual during the festival. From the 24th to the 26th, for three days, KTX-Eum #881 (Cheongnyangni → Donghae Station) at 10:46 a.m. and KTX-Eum #886 (Donghae Station → Cheongnyangni) at 4:47 p.m. will make two additional stops per day at Hoengseong station.
Additionally, for the convenience of KTX passengers, a free shuttle bus will run between Hoengseong station and the festival venue, timed to coincide with KTX arrivals.
Special events for train passengers will also be held. Visitors who present a KTX ticket at the festival’s main operations center will receive a Hoengseong Korean Beef Festival souvenir.
Jaeseong Lee, CEO of the Hoengseong Culture and Tourism Foundation, stated, “Through this collaboration with KORAIL, more visitors will be able to reach the festival safely and conveniently using trains and shuttle buses. We hope everyone enjoys the true charm of Hoengseong Korean beef through a variety of performances, experiences, and delicious food.”
