Samsung, in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm, will officially unveil its extended reality (XR) device, 'Project Moohan,' on the 22nd.
On the 15th, Samsung sent invitations to major media outlets worldwide for the 'Samsung Galaxy Unpacked – A New Era of Multimodal AI, Opening Up a Broader World' event scheduled for 11 a.m. on the 22nd. At this event, Samsung will introduce a headset equipped with the Android XR Platform.
The brain of Project Moohan is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip. The device features two 4K Micro-OLED Displays, one for each eye. Each display achieves an ultra-high pixel density of 4,032 pixels per inch (PPI), and together, they deliver a total of 29 million pixels—surpassing the 23 million pixels of the high-end Apple Vision Pro.

Inside, four cameras are paired with infrared LEDs to enable precise eye-tracking, further enhanced by AI for improved accuracy. Voice recognition capabilities have also been strengthened. Four microphones located at the bottom capture sound from all directions, separating the user's voice from surrounding voices for clearer communication.
A long press of the top right button instantly activates Google's AI, Google Gemini.
Battery life is reported to be two hours for regular use and two and a half hours for video playback. This is comparable to competing products, so an external battery pack is expected to be essential for extended sessions.
The starting price for Project Moohan is expected to be at least $1,800. While this is significantly less expensive than the Apple Vision Pro at $3,499, it is still much pricier than the Meta Quest 3, which starts at $499.
