According to Financial News Boseong, Hwang Tae-jong reporting, Boseong County will distribute 16 types of 'BS Trio' (Green Tea Mon, Kkomakmon, Kiwimon) emoticons for free to the first 40,000 users via the KakaoTalk 'Boseong-gun County Office' channel at 2 p.m. on the 15th to promote the 1st Boseong Yeolseonru Yi Sun-sin History and Culture Festival, which opens on the 24th.
According to Boseong County, the 1st Boseong Yeolseonru Yi Sun-sin History and Culture Festival will be held for three days from the 24th to the 26th at Yeolseonru Pavilion Park in Boseong. Yeolseonru Pavilion is a historic site where Admiral Yi Sun-sin submitted his famous report stating, "I still have twelve ships left."
This integrated festival will feature more than 60 programs, including the National Heritage Night Tour, the 2nd Da Youth Festival, the 13th Boseong World Tea Expo, the 3rd Korea Camellia Bonsai Exhibition, the Jeonnam Excellent Bonsai Exhibition, and the Multicultural Family Harmony Festival.
The free emoticon distribution aims to widely promote the 1st Boseong Yeolseonru Yi Sun-sin History and Culture Festival. The BS Trio—Green Tea Mon, Kkomakmon, and Kiwimon—are personified characters representing Boseong's signature specialties, depicted in a cute and playful style.
By adding the 'Boseong-gun County Office' channel as a friend on KakaoTalk, users will automatically receive a message to download the emoticons at the designated time. The channel will also provide various notifications, including main festival programs and real-time performance schedules.
A Boseong County official stated, "The 1st Boseong Yeolseonru Yi Sun-sin History and Culture Festival will reach out to residents and visitors with a youthful and cheerful spirit. We hope the BS Trio emoticons will help promote Yeolseonru Pavilion and Boseong, becoming beloved local characters that everyone wants to share."
