In line with the arrival of the MS Westerdam operated by Holland America Line, the Sokcho Port Cruise Festival will take place at the Sokcho Port Cruise Terminal and along the Abai Village beach area.
Organized by the Gangwon Tourism Organization (GWTO), the event will begin at 10 a.m. on the 18th to coincide with the cruise's arrival. Designed as a community-based cruise tourism festival, it offers programs for both domestic and international tourists as well as local residents.
At the event venue near the Cruise Terminal and Abai Village beach, a variety of activities will be available, including a children's cruise drawing contest, Korean Traditional Folk Games, K-pop performances, and the Dalgona Game, allowing visitors to experience Korean culture.
A local market operated by Sokcho's small business owners will also be held at the festival site. The highlight of the event will be a fireworks display set against the Sokcho sea at 7:50 p.m., coinciding with the cruise's departure.
