[Financial News] The 'MAINBiz Certification System,' which promotes management innovation for small and medium-sized enterprises, has been shown to provide substantial benefits for company growth and enhanced competitiveness.
On the 13th, MAINBIZ Association released the results of its 'Survey on Awareness and Utilization of the MAINBiz Certification System,' conducted among 325 MAIN-BIZ Enterprises. The survey aimed to assess the system's recognition and usage status, as well as to identify directions for improvement to enhance its effectiveness.
According to the survey, 43.4% of responding companies became aware of the MAINBiz Certification System through government, public institutions, or the association. Recommendations from policy financial institutions (24.9%) were also cited as a major channel. The primary reasons for applying were to access financial support benefits and to enhance competitiveness through management innovation.
A total of 65.5% of companies evaluated the MAINBiz Certification System as 'beneficial for management.' In particular, they reported positive effects in areas such as improved corporate image, strengthened competitiveness, and participation in government procurement markets. However, some respondents indicated that further enhancements are needed in support for overseas exports and marketing expansion.
In the survey on awareness of preferential support systems, more than half of respondents said they were familiar with the system. They primarily utilized financial support, government and local government assistance, and tax benefits. Over 60% expressed their intention to use financial support programs in the future.
Satisfaction with preferential support stood at 60.9%, with particularly high satisfaction reported in the wholesale/retail and construction sectors. Areas identified for improvement included expanded financial support (54.2%), enhanced tax and R&D support, streamlined administrative procedures, and improved accessibility to the system.
Based on the survey results, MAINBIZ Association proposed four directions for improvement: strengthening inter-agency promotional cooperation, expanding demand-driven preferential support, offering differentiated incentives, and revising relevant laws and systems.
A representative from MAINBIZ Association stated, "The MAINBiz Certification System has been confirmed as a practical platform supporting innovative growth for SMEs. We will continue to strengthen the policy foundation so that more SMEs can benefit from the system."
