[Financial News] KORAIL's labor and management announced on the 10th that they had delivered educational computers and equipment to Saint Carmen Sales School in Cavite, Philippines, on the 9th.
This donation was part of an international exchange project organized by the Hope Railway Foundation, which is jointly funded by KORAIL and the Korean Railway Workers' Union (KRWU).
KORAIL's labor and management provided 85 educational computers, desks, chairs, and other educational equipment to improve the learning environment. They also covered instructor fees for PC usage training.
In April, KORAIL signed a contract to operate and maintain Manila Metro Line 7 in the Philippines. While exporting Korean railway technology, KORAIL is also strengthening private sector cooperation by providing digital devices and other items to vulnerable groups in the Philippines.
Kwon Young-joo, Head of Human Resources Management at KORAIL, stated, "We will continue to expand support for the socially disadvantaged through joint efforts between labor and management, not only by exporting Korean railway technology to countries around the world, but also by promoting international exchange and cooperation."
