President Lee Jae-myung held a meeting with displaced people and their families at the Ganghwa Peace Observatory in Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, on the 3rd. Provided by the Office of the President of South Korea.

On the morning of the 10th, President Lee Jae-myung visited the main office of the National Information Resources Service in Daejeon to directly inspect the recovery efforts following the recent fire. The visit came 14 days after the incident, which caused a nationwide disruption of government data networks.
President Lee had originally planned to take annual leave immediately after the Chuseok holiday, but decided to visit the Daejeon headquarters of the National Information Resources Service due to the seriousness of the fire. From 10:30 a.m., he spent about an hour inspecting the facility, including the battery cooling immersion tanks, and received briefings from government officials on the recovery status and future plans. As of that day, the recovery rate for the affected administrative information systems stood at 30.2%.
President Lee is scheduled to hold an on-site meeting to review the fire damage and recovery efforts at the National Information Resources Service and to encourage workers. The meeting is expected to include words of comfort for staff struggling with heavy workloads. He may also address the need for institutional improvements, such as boosting morale in the public sector and improving working conditions, following a recent incident involving the death of a public servant.
Meanwhile, some observers suggest that ongoing political controversy over President Lee's appearance on the Joongang Tongyang Broadcasting Company (JTBC) entertainment program 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' during the holiday may have influenced his schedule. Previously, People Power Party leader Dong-hyuk Jang strongly criticized, "President Lee appeared on an entertainment show while leaving the unprecedented digital crisis to public officials." In response, the Office of the President of South Korea stated that the entertainment appearance had been scheduled in advance and was not related to the recent controversy.
