[Financial News] It has been identified that four complaints have been filed with the police against Seo Young-kyo, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, who raised suspicions of a 'secret meeting' between Chief Justice Jo Hee-dae and former Prime Minister Han Deok-soo.
Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency held a regular briefing on the 22nd and announced, "Four complaints were filed between the 18th and 20th," adding, "It is defamation by false information, and after reviewing the contents of the complaints, we will decide who will investigate."
Previously, Representative Seo claimed that after the impeachment ruling of former President Yoon Seok-yeol, Chief Justice Jo met with former Prime Minister Han and others and allegedly made remarks to the effect of "If it comes to the Supreme Court, we will handle it accordingly" regarding President Lee Jae-myung's case.
In response, the civic group Seomin Min Saeng Measures Committee filed a complaint against Representative Seo on the 20th for abuse of authority and violation of the election law.
Open Sympathy TV is reportedly planning to file a complaint against Na Kyung-won, a member of the People Power Party, for violating the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation) over the secret meeting allegations, which it claimed to be fake news, but it has not yet been filed with the police.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency transferred 14 cases of unauthorized small payment incidents involving KT in Seoul to the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency.
Regarding the allegations of proxy stock trading by independent lawmaker Lee Chun-seok, 60 related persons have been investigated so far.
