[Financial News] A man in his 30s was arrested by the police for forcibly tying up his mother and taking money, claiming he had no living expenses.
Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station announced on the 19th that they applied for an arrest warrant for a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of robbery.
Mr. A is accused of taking 300,000 won in cash and a mobile phone from a massage parlor located in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, operated by his mother, Ms. B, on the night of the 16th at around 11:30 PM.
It was found that he went to Ms. B, who was alone at the establishment, and demanded money, using physical force to immobilize her.
He reportedly tied Ms. B's hands with tape and took the cash from her wallet.
Mr. A fled to his residence in Gyeonggi-do immediately after the crime, but was caught by the police within five hours after they started tracking him following a report.
