The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 16th that it will hold the '2025 Korea Safety Industry Expo (K-SAFETY EXPO 2025)' at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do from the 17th to the 19th for three days.
This year marks the 11th anniversary of the 'Korea Safety Industry Expo', which exhibits excellent products and technologies of promising disaster safety companies and supports the development of overseas markets.
This expo, under the theme 'Smart Disaster Management, Opening a New Paradigm of Disaster Response', will feature the largest scale ever with 380 institutions and companies participating (a total of 1000 booths).
In particular, various programs such as the 'Advanced Disaster Response Special Exhibition Hall', where next-generation disaster response technologies can be seen at a glance, export consultation meetings with overseas buyers and investors, and a global business forum are prepared.
Additionally, delegations from ASEAN countries (Cambodia, Malaysia, Brunei, etc.), the government of Azerbaijan, and overseas companies from Europe and Japan will also participate.
The 'Advanced Disaster Response Special Exhibition Hall', with 94 companies participating (196 booths), will focus on exhibiting next-generation disaster response technologies based on advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), robots, and drones, introducing the future of the disaster safety industry.
Advanced robot technologies such as a quadruped walking robot for human detection (Robot Convergence Research Institute) and a nuclear power plant seawater pipe inspection robot (Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power) can be experienced directly on site.
To help excellent domestic disaster safety companies enter overseas markets and form networks with overseas companies, a business consultation meeting will be held by inviting 95 buyers and investors from 21 countries.
The 'Global Disaster Safety Business Forum', marking its second year, will have over 250 participants, including domestic and international disaster safety management officials, overseas buyers, and major companies, to share disaster safety industry trends and technologies.
Various side events (59 in total), including a professional conference where domestic and international experts discuss the blueprint for scientific disaster safety management, will also be held.
Minister Yoon Ho-jung emphasized, "In the rapidly changing disaster safety environment, scientific disaster safety management based on advanced technology is essential to protect the lives and safety of the people."
