[Financial News] Seoul St. Mary's Hospital's Rheumatology Department announced on the 16th that it will hold a 'Health Lecture on Ankylosing Spondylitis'. The lecture will be held on the 24th at 2 PM in the main building's basement auditorium of Seoul St. Mary's Hospital in Banpo-dong, Seoul.
This lecture is open to anyone, including patients with ankylosing spondylitis, their families, and the general public interested in the disease, free of charge.
Ankylosing spondylitis is an autoimmune disease that causes chronic inflammation in joints such as the spine and sacroiliac joints, leading to pain and stiffness. It mainly occurs in young people. If appropriate treatment is not provided early, the vertebrae may fuse, limiting movement and causing significant inconvenience in daily life. With early diagnosis and treatment, and by managing lifestyle habits, the progression of the disease can be slowed and quality of life maintained.
The lecture will proceed in the following order: △What is Ankylosing Spondylitis (Professor Kim Wan-wook, Rheumatology) △Eye Diseases Related to Ankylosing Spondylitis (Professor Park Young-geun, Ophthalmology) △Exercises Beneficial for Ankylosing Spondylitis (Professor Nam Kyung-eun, Rehabilitation Medicine) △Treatment of Ankylosing Spondylitis (Professor Lee Ju-ha, Rheumatology).
Professor Lee Ju-ha said, "I hope this lecture will serve as an opportunity to actively participate in treatment and management," and added, "I want to give hope that a healthy life can be fully enjoyed through consistent exercise and treatment."
