Investment Presentation for Startups and Investors
[Financial News] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 16th that it held the 'Welcome to TIPS in Chungcheong Region' event.
This event was prepared to spread investment opportunities concentrated in the capital area to the regions. The event held at Daejeon Tipstown was attended by over 100 promising tech startups in the Chungcheong region hoping to participate in TIPS and TIPS operators.
Promising startups in the Chungcheong region conducted investment presentations for TIPS operators. Excellent companies selected in the on-site evaluation were awarded prizes. The selected excellent companies will take the stage at the integrated final held at the end of the year to present investment presentations once again in front of national investors.
Following this, an operator presentation was held where TIPS operators introduced their main investment fields and strategies. Various exchange programs such as investment attraction networking between companies hoping to participate in TIPS and operators, and mentoring by senior TIPS companies were also conducted.
TIPS is a public-private partnership startup support system that utilizes the expertise and capabilities of private operators to select and invest in startups, while the government provides linked support for R&D and startup commercialization funds. So far, over 3,700 startups have participated, attracting more than 17 trillion won in follow-up investments, establishing itself as a representative startup support program in Korea.
Lim Jeong-wook, Director of Startup Venture Innovation at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, "I hope today's meeting with TIPS operators has become a stepping stone for greater growth for startups in the Chungcheong region," and "We will sequentially hold Welcome to TIPS by region to spread the startup enthusiasm in the area."
