Discussion on Serious Accident Punishment Act and Data Regulation to Strengthen Manufacturing and AI Competitiveness
[Financial News] The Innobiz Association announced on the 16th that it held a field communication meeting with Innobiz companies together with Choi Seung-jae, the SME Ombudsman, at the association's main conference room in Pangyo, Gyeonggi.
This meeting was prepared to listen to the voices of innovative SMEs in the field, in line with the government's AI activation policy, as the importance of manufacturing is highlighted in global tariff negotiations.
The event was attended by Chairman Jeong Gwang-cheon, Vice Chairman Choi Young-ho (Risk Zero), Vice Chairman Bae Min-seong (Genie Tech), Vice Chairman Kim Jong-won (NeoPS), and Director Park Ji-hwan (Think4BL). From the Ombudsman side, Choi Seung-jae and support team officials participated.
The meeting discussed various regulatory improvement tasks, including △Improvement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act suitable for the reality of SMEs △Introduction of a text and data mining (TDM) exemption system to ease AI data regulations △Minimizing damage following the implementation of the Yellow Envelope Act △Improvement of the visa system for foreign professionals.
Jeong Gwang-cheon, Chairman of the Innobiz Association, said, "Innobiz companies are the innovative entities leading new technologies like AI while preserving the roots of manufacturing," adding, "As the importance of manufacturing and AI grows, I hope this discussion will be a starting point for strengthening future competitiveness."
Choi Seung-jae, the Ombudsman, stated, "Resolving uncertainty in business activities is more important than anything else," and "Based on the issues raised at this meeting, we will seek various solutions together with the Innobiz Association."
