[Financial News] The police are investigating the case where Choi Tae-won, Chairman of SK Group, filed a defamation lawsuit against YouTubers.
Seoul Yongsan Police Station announced on the 16th that they are investigating multiple YouTube post authors on charges of defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.
It is reported that they are accused of posting videos containing false information or slander related to Choi's cohabitant Kim Hee-young, Chairman of the T&C Foundation.
The police received the complaint submitted by Choi's side in the second half of last year and began the investigation. The investigation is ongoing based on the additional evidence submitted by the complainant, including the personal details of the accused.
A police official stated, "It is difficult to confirm specific details as it is an ongoing investigation."
