Kim Gang-ryeol, Team Leader at Yeongnam Polytechnic University, Honored with Presidential Commendation for Job Creation

Yeongnam Polytechnic University announced that Team Leader Kim Gang-ryeol received the Presidential Commendation for Job Creation at the '2025 Job Creation Support Merit Government Award Ceremony' held at the Daegu Regional Employment and Labor Office on the afternoon of the 15th, in recognition of his contributions to youth job creation and social contribution.
Team Leader Kim contributed to Yeongnam Polytechnic University receiving excellent evaluations for three consecutive years from 2022 to 2024 while working at the University Job Plus Center. He led the university to be selected as a pilot university for the customized employment service project for college students (2023) and high school students (2024), achieving excellent evaluations.
Through this, he established a customized job model linking high schools, universities, and companies, and operated career counseling, employment capability enhancement education, recruitment briefings, and industry tours for vocational high school students and local youth, leading to youth employment activation.
Team Leader Kim significantly contributed to improving Yeongnam Polytechnic University's employment rate by systematizing counseling and employment programs for current students and graduates. He helped many students enter excellent employment destinations such as large corporations and quality companies through customized counseling tailored to individual student situations, specialized program operations, and corporate linkage activities.
Additionally, as the Secretary-General of the National University Job Plus Center Association, he faithfully served as a bridge between government agencies and universities by operating seminars, policy discussions, and case-sharing meetings annually. He also strengthened the regional unit cooperation system as the Chairman of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Vocational College Employment Support Association, contributing to the development of youth employment policies.
Team Leader Kim emphasized, "In the future, Yeongnam Polytechnic University will continue to provide tailored career and employment support to local youth, helping them pioneer their future independently."
Meanwhile, the Job Creation Support Merit Government Award is the highest government award presented by the Ministry of Employment and Labor to discover and award individuals and organizations contributing to youth and adult employment promotion, job creation, and social contribution, thereby spreading excellent cases and contributing to the development of national employment policies.
