President Trump’s ‘Crypto Business’ Core American Bitcoin Also Participates
[Financial News] Tom Lee, chairman of Bitmine Immersion Technology (Bitmine), representing US Wall Street, will participate in 'Korea Blockchain Week 2025 (KBW2025)', held throughout Seoul from the 22nd to the 28th. Bitmine, which holds about 1.87 million Ethereum (ETH), the second-largest global virtual asset by market capitalization, is attracting attention from the Web3 industry as well as institutional and individual investors by raising corporate value through its so-called 'Digital Asset Treasury (DAT)' strategy.
According to the industry on the 15th, Chairman Lee has been listed as a speaker at the main conference 'Impact (KBW2025:IMPACT)', held at the Seoul Walkerhill Hotel & Resort for two days on the 23rd and 24th during the KBW period. Chairman Lee, who has built a career in Wall Street's traditional financial sector, including Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan, for about 30 years, co-founded Fundstrat in 2014 and is in charge of research. Last year, he also established Fundstrat Capital, serving as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO), and has recently been appointed as the chairman of the board of Bitmine, the world's largest Ethereum holding company, leading the DAT strategy.
After Chairman Lee joined, Bitmine's market cap, which is being heavily purchased by 'Seohak Ants', is about 9.6 billion dollars. According to the Korea Securities Depository, domestic individual investors have recently purchased Bitmine stocks worth about 318.83 million dollars over the past month, making it the second most net-bought stock. This is why there is a lot of interest in Chairman Lee's KBW announcement, known as a 'Bitcoin and Ethereum bull'.
A Web3 industry official said, “Investor interest in Bitmine, a representative DAT company, along with Strategy, which holds the most Bitcoin in the world, is very high,” and added, “Chairman Lee’s trading strategy related to Ethereum, the core infrastructure of stablecoins and Real World Asset Tokenization (RWA), is also a point of observation, coinciding with the recent rise in Ethereum prices.”
At KBW2025:IMPACT, you can also check out the ‘Crypto Business’ of the US Donald Trump family. Donald Trump Jr., co-founder and major shareholder of American Bitcoin, which recently entered Nasdaq, and Mike Ho, chairman of the board, will participate. American Bitcoin, which was listed on Nasdaq on the 3rd (local time), has a market cap of about 7.2 billion dollars, and its core business model is Bitcoin mining and storage, including the DAT strategy.
Jack Whitcoff, CEO of World Liberty Financial, another Trump family business, was also listed as a speaker. CEO Whitcoff is expected to present a vision for next-generation financial infrastructure related to the dollar stablecoin 'USD1', issued and distributed by World Liberty Financial, including decentralized finance (DeFi).
Bo Hines, who was a key policy designer at the US White House Digital Asset Advisory Committee, will also take the stage at KBW2025:IMPACT with the title of CEO of Tether USAT. Tether (USDT), the world's largest stablecoin issuer, announced on the 13th that it would launch a new dollar-linked stablecoin 'USAT' in accordance with US laws and regulations, appointing Hines as the USAT CEO. As the 'Stablecoin Bill (Genius Act)' in the US is set to be fully implemented, there was a high possibility that overseas-issued stablecoins like USDT would be expelled from the US market, so there is a lot of interest in the USAT and CEO Hines's strategy for entering the US regulatory framework.
A Zangle Research official said, “USAT is Tether’s strategic turning point to dominate the US regulatory framework beyond the existing USDT dominance,” and added, “As Tether complies with the Genius Act and issues USAT, cooperation with US financial authorities is also important, so Hines, who is from the White House, is actively promoting the USAT strategy.”
