The first class was held on the 3rd at Tapsan Elementary School in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, and will be conducted in a total of 8 units and 16 sessions until February next year. The classes are conducted by a team of 60 university student mentors organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Center. In the first class, they taught the difference between what family or neighbors do for work and what they need and want, explaining the concept that people earn money through jobs to purchase necessities for living. A parent of this school, Mr. A, said, "I was worried about the time between school and academy classes, but it was great that my child could take economic classes in a safe school environment." Jeong Cheol, the head of the Entrepreneurship Development Center, said, "Through this program, future generations will be able to positively accept the meaning of cooperation, challenge, and achievement from elementary school, and develop the power to think and decide for themselves," adding, "We plan to analyze the learning outcomes and satisfaction of participating students and expand the program in the future."
Meanwhile, the Hankyung Association's Entrepreneurship Development Center is an organization established in February this year with the goal of promoting entrepreneurship, enhancing corporate awareness, business growth, institutional improvement, and collaboration with related domestic and foreign institutions.
