[Financial News] SK Hynix announced on the 12th that it held the SK Hynix Future Forum at the Icheon Campus in Gyeonggi on the 11th under the theme of 'Technological Leap and Paradigm Shift as a First Mover in the AI Era'.
The Future Forum is a place to overview the trends and changes in the global AI market and discuss the development direction of SK Hynix's semiconductor technology, strengthening the company's future preparation capabilities and allowing members to understand the rapidly changing AI technology trends and explore future strategies together.
This Future Forum was attended by key executives of SK Hynix, major university professors from home and abroad, and business partners. They engaged in various discussions on AI models and services, next-generation memory technology, advanced packaging technology, beyond the memory and system fields. SK Hynix members also felt the rapidly changing AI technology trends and discussed the technology strategies to move forward.
Kwak No-jeong, CEO of SK Hynix, said in a video, "The Future Forum started from a thirst for a place of deep consideration and discussion for the future," and "We aim to seek three-dimensional and living wisdom by discussing with domestic and foreign scholars and business partners across the entire AI value chain, including AI models, infrastructure, and application services." He further emphasized, "We must design and execute SK Hynix's unique deep sequence to become a sustainable first mover, encompassing technology, business models, and work methods."
At the forum, a total of 4 agendas and 2 panel discussions were held. In the first agenda, Professor Jisen Zhao from the Department of Computer Science at UCSD, Dan Ernst, Senior Director of NVIDIA, Kang Wook-sung, Vice President of SK Hynix, and Lim Hyung-jin, Vice President, participated as experts.
In the second agenda, Seong-hyun Park, CEO of AI semiconductor startup Rebellion, Professor Yoo Hoi-jun of KAIST, and Professor Lee Jae-wook of Seoul National University conducted research together and Professor Lee Jae-wook of Seoul National University gave a keynote presentation on the theme of 'Renaissance of Memory in the AI Era'.
In the third agenda, Professor Yoo Kyung-sik of KAIST and Vice President Son Ho-young of SK Hynix gave a presentation on 'The Evolution of Co-package Optics Technology Connecting the Future with Light and Its Impact on the Memory Industry'. In the fourth agenda, Professor Emeritus Lee Tae-eok of KAIST, Professor Jang Young-jae, Vice President Park Sang-beom of SK Hynix, and Vice President Jung Yoo-in gave a presentation on 'Factory Intelligence for the Future: Are We Ready?'.
The forum concluded with a closing speech by President Hong Sang-hoo of Sungkonghoe University. President Hong said, "Through the Future Forum, we reaffirmed our role and responsibility to pioneer new business and technology horizons by recalling the true meaning of 'First Mover' and leading the industry and the world to a brighter future."
An SK Hynix official said, "Following last year, we held the forum this year as well, showing a strong will for continuous future preparation," and "We will continue to provide a platform for sharing and communication so that all members can have knowledge and insight into future technology."
