[Financial News] LS Electric announced on the 12th that it was selected as the '2025 Korea Top Job Company' in recognition of its contribution to job creation and establishing a corporate culture for work-family balance. The Ministry of Employment and Labor selects the 'Korea Top Job Company' every year to encourage and spread the achievement of creating quality jobs.
LS Electric was recognized for its efforts in expanding new hires last year and leading the recruitment of youth and vulnerable groups. In particular, it hired 366 young people, increasing the recruitment scale by 16% compared to the previous year. Also, the hiring of vulnerable groups such as the disabled or those aged 55 and over was 41 in 2021-2022 and 81 in 2023-2024, showing an annual increase. The total number of employees also increased by 3.81% from 3,149 in 2023 to 3,269 in 2024.
LS Electric's tailored education program for the training of recruited personnel is well-received by employees. LS Electric conducts global competency enhancement courses required for job-specific competency improvement through its in-house training center and provides various training programs, organizational development, and coaching programs.
LS Electric is also focusing on employee welfare. To balance work and family, it provides and supports daycare centers, preemptively extended the parental leave period to two years before the law was amended, and operates a childbirth and childcare support package that includes childbirth support funds and infertility treatment costs.
It is also actively engaged in social contribution through recruitment. It encourages social participation of the disabled by hiring visually impaired health keepers and actively supports the health welfare of R&D personnel. Since 2023, it has hired 11 artists with developmental disabilities to form the 'Green Voice' choir and supports various activities such as holding a concert at Carnegie Hall in New York, USA. An LS Electric representative said, “We will continue to strive to make each employee proud of their workplace and to lead a balanced and rewarding life at work and home.”
