[Financial News] President Lee Jaemyung said on the 11th regarding the stabilization of the real estate market, "Measures for stabilizing real estate prices will inevitably continue from both the demand and supply sides." He hinted that additional measures could continue following the '6·27 Measures' and '9·7 Measures'.
President Lee, in response to a question about future additional measures related to real estate policy at the press conference marking the 100th day of his inauguration, stated, "It is necessary to minimize the acquisition of real estate through investment," thus revealing this stance.
President Lee pointed out, "The economic structure of the Republic of Korea is fundamentally centered on real estate speculation," and "the proportion is so large that it is now hindering normal economic growth and development."
He further stated, "The basic direction of the new government is to shift funds from real estate to advanced industrial sectors or everyday economic activity sectors, which is our task of so-called financial transformation, and we are trying to do so."
President Lee especially emphasized, "There are both demand management and supply management aspects, but in fact, demand management must be done well," adding, "It is necessary to change demand to focus on actual demanders and minimize the acquisition of real estate for speculative investment factors, and for that, we have no choice but to continuously and repeatedly introduce measures."
