KOSPI Narrows Gains to Consolidate at 3330 Level...0.5%↑[fn Afternoon Market]

[Financial News] The KOSPI rose above the 3340 level in the early session, hitting a new high before entering a consolidation phase.
According to the Korea Exchange on the 11th, as of 3:03 PM, the KOSPI is trading at 3330.84, up 16.54 (0.50%) from the previous day. The index also hit an all-time high of 3344.70 (0.91%) after the market opened.
In the securities market, foreigners and institutions are net buyers of 115.5 billion won and 562.2 billion won, respectively, while individuals are net sellers of 691.3 billion won.
By sector, food & beverages/tobacco (2.84%), transportation equipment/parts (1.36%), and electrical/electronics (1.03%) are strong, while electricity/gas (-2.53%), securities (-1.88%), and entertainment/culture (-1.31%) are weak.
Among the top market cap stocks, Hanwha Aerospace (3.31%), LG Energy Solution (1.76%), and SK Hynix (1.64%) are rising, while Doosan Enerbility (-2.72%), Korea Electric Power Corporation (-2.97%), and HMM (-1.05%) are falling.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ is trading at 833.49, up 0.49p (0.06%) from the previous day. Individuals are buying 107.4 billion won, while foreigners and institutions are selling 21.7 billion won and 66.7 billion won, respectively.
Lee Jae-won, a researcher at Shinhan Investment Corp., said, "After the presidential press conference, there is a slight upward trend with sell-on news, and the KOSDAQ is showing a slight decline despite the weakness of large-cap stocks while maintaining strength in industrials."
