Employees of 'Hanyang Hwaro' Advertised by Ma Dong-seok Sent to Prosecutors for 200 Billion Won Investment Fraud Charges

[Financial News] Employees of the beef grill franchise Hanyang Hwaro, which featured a famous celebrity, have been caught by the police on charges of embezzling investment funds amounting to 200 billion won. 
Seoul Gangnam Police Station announced on the 10th that it had arrested three people, including the representative and vice president of Hanyang Hwaro, on charges of fraud, violation of the Act on the Regulation of Similar Receiving Acts, and violation of the Act on the Regulation of Concealment of Criminal Proceeds.
They are accused of receiving investment funds from multiple investors in 2022, promising "high returns" but failing to return the funds. It is known that they attracted investments by promising to import top-quality beef from Canada and distribute it domestically, paying 10% of the investment amount monthly. According to the police, there are about 350 victims in this case, and the damage amounts to 200 billion won.
A police official said, "We have arrested three people, including the representative and vice president, and sent the remaining four employees to the prosecution without detention, totaling seven people sent."
