[Financial News] Parata Airlines announced on the 9th that it received a reissuance of the 'Air Operator Certificate (AOC)' from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 8th and will begin full-scale commercial operations.
An Air Operator Certificate (AOC) is a procedure that comprehensively verifies whether an airline operator with a transport business license has completed all preparations for commercial operations, including the necessary professional personnel, facilities, and maintenance systems, in accordance with government safety standards.
After acquiring a change license for air transport operators last March, Parata Airlines has been gradually preparing the infrastructure for safe operations, including the introduction of two aircraft, large-scale recruitment, maintenance, and system construction.
In particular, the acquisition of this 'Air Operator Certificate' by Parata Airlines is significant in that it meets the recently strengthened safety standards of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Parata Airlines will proceed with the next steps for full-scale operations this week, such as opening its website and starting ticket sales, and will meet customers. However, the first flight schedule has not yet been confirmed.
Yun Cheol-min, CEO of Parata Airlines, said, "We will do our best to become a beloved and happy travel partner for customers through rational and differentiated services with safety operations as the top priority."
Meanwhile, Winix, a home appliance specialist company established in 1973, has been preparing for operations by acquiring Fly Gangwon last August and changing its name, viewing the aviation industry as a new growth engine for the group and a field that can create synergy with its existing core business.
