[Financial News] The KOSPI recorded an upward trend thanks to net buying by foreign and institutional investors.
On the 8th, the KOSPI traded at 3219.59, up 14.47p (0.45%) from the previous trading day.
On this day, the KOSPI started trading at 3209.81, up 4.69p (0.15%) from the previous trading day.
In the stock market, foreigners bought 262.9 billion KRW worth of shares. Institutions also showed a net buying of 132.7 billion KRW. On the other hand, individuals sold 466.1 billion KRW worth of shares.
Top market cap companies showed mixed trends. Samsung Electronics rose 0.72% from the previous trading day to trade at 70,000 KRW, and SK Hynix rose 1.28%. POSCO Holdings and Kakao also showed strong gains of around 1%.
By industry, securities (2.73%), non-metals (2.37%), and medical/precision instruments (2.26%) showed an upward trend. Telecommunications (-0.68%) and machinery/equipment (-0.60%) declined.
The KOSDAQ index traded at 818.60, up 7.20p (0.89%) from the previous day.
