[Financial News] KOSPI continues its upward trend thanks to net buying by foreign and institutional investors.
As of 1:43 PM on the 8th, KOSPI is trading at 3209.26, up 4.14p (0.13%) from the previous trading day. At one point during the day, the index rose 14.15p (0.44%) to trade at 3219.27.
On this day, KOSPI started trading at 3209.81, up 4.69p (0.15%) from the previous trading day.
In the securities market, foreigners are buying 150.8 billion KRW worth of stocks. Institutions are also net buyers with 76.4 billion KRW. On the other hand, individuals are selling 295.7 billion KRW worth of stocks.
Among the top market cap companies, there is a mixed trend. Samsung Electronics is close to 70,000 KRW, up 0.29% from the previous trading day, and SK Hynix is up 0.82%.
By sector, securities (2.66%), medical/precision devices (2.31%), and non-metallic (1.93%) are showing upward trends.
The KOSDAQ index is trading at 818.00, up 6.60p (0.81%) from the previous day.
