[Financial News] Gaon Group announced on the 8th that its subsidiary Gaon Broadband will supply Wi-Fi 6 routers (AP) supporting 'EasyMesh' to NTT East Japan, the largest telecommunications operator in Japan.
NTT East Japan is a major telecommunications operator under the NTT Group, with 13.5 million optical fiber subscribers, leading the telecommunications market in Japan with its extensive wired network and advanced infrastructure.
The product supplied by Gaon Broadband this time is a Wi-Fi 6-based router. The product features EasyMesh technology, which connects Wi-Fi devices like a mesh to expand the wireless network range.
This technology allows for stable connections even in environments with signal interference or structural constraints. It enables uninterrupted Wi-Fi use in various spaces, including homes, small offices, and shops.
Particularly, this product is the first EasyMesh-supported router introduced to the market by NTT East Japan, and Gaon Broadband's participation is significant. Using this as a stepping stone, they plan to strengthen their strategic partnership with NTT East Japan and expand their product portfolio in the Japanese market.
A representative from Gaon Broadband stated, "It is very meaningful that our Wi-Fi 6 router was selected as the first product supporting EasyMesh by NTT East Japan," adding, "We will further solidify our trust in the Japanese market and continuously expand our achievements through the accumulated technology and know-how."
