[Financial News] Sinopax's home hemodialysis-related products and clinical results of the blood filter were officially announced at the 'International Home Hemodialysis Conference (JSHHD)' held in Saitama, Japan.
Held from the 6th to the 8th for three days, the International Home Hemodialysis Conference is known as a forward-looking treatment method related conference, with participation from over 600 university professors and specialists from more than 10 countries including Korea, Japan, the UK, Australia, and Taiwan.
In this conference, a session sponsored by Sinopax and organized by the Korean Society of Nephrology included presentations on 'Korean Elderly Hemodialysis Status', 'Japanese Elderly Home Hemodialysis Status', and a presentation by Professor Kim Seong-geun from Sanggye Baek Hospital on 'Localization Status of Portable Hemodialysis Machines and Clinical Results of Localized Blood Filters'.
Notably, Sinopax's blood filter clinical results were officially announced for the first time at an international conference following publication in an SCI-level journal. The Sinopax portable hemodialysis machine product line introduced this time included △Portable Artificial Kidney △Blood Filter △Water Purifier for Portable Artificial Kidney.
Currently, Sinopax has completed the development of the portable artificial kidney and is conducting performance tests for official registration. Plans are in place to submit an application for certification to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety by the end of this year.
Additionally, the blood filter has received certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and has begun supply to domestic hospitals. Furthermore, to enter overseas markets, clinical trials in compliance with CE MDR regulations have been completed, and product approval applications are being prepared.
Moreover, the water purifier for the portable artificial kidney has completed official performance tests and is in the stage of preparing technical documents for product approval submission to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, with plans to complete certification submission within this month.
Currently, in some advanced countries such as the United States, Canada, Australia, and Japan, home hemodialysis is conducted for the psychological stability and convenient hemodialysis of dialysis patients. In Korea, various preparations are underway, centered around the Home Hemodialysis Research Association, including related law amendments and national pilot projects.
Jin-tae Lee, head of Sinopax's Artificial Kidney Business Division, said, "As the only domestic medical device company related to hemodialysis, inquiries from medical staff from various countries continued during the conference," adding, "In this conference, Professor Kim Seong-geun explained a clinical paper comparing our blood filter with the latest German products, informing medical staff from various countries that our technology is on par with that of advanced overseas companies."
