[Financial News] Kang Hoon-sik, Chief of Staff to the President, announced on the 7th that negotiations for the release of over 300 Koreans detained at the battery factory construction site in Georgia, USA, have been completed.
Kang, in his opening remarks at the high-level party-government meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, said, "However, administrative procedures remain, and as soon as these are completed, a charter flight will depart to bring our citizens back."
He added, "We will continue to respond without letting our guard down until they return safely."
