Mayor Ju visits 'Red Cross Workshop' to encourage volunteers

【Financial News Namyangju=Kim Kyung-soo Reporter】 Ju Gwang-deok, Mayor of Namyangju, Gyeonggi, visited the 'Red Cross Volunteer Disaster Response Capability Enhancement Workshop' held in the areas of Taean-gun and Boryeong-si, Chungnam, to encourage the volunteers.
According to Namyangju City on the 7th, Mayor Ju attended the opening ceremony held on the 5th and met with 86 volunteers. 
Mayor Ju emphasized the importance of improving expertise for disaster response. He also shared a vision for city administration centered on citizens and had a time for communication.
Mayor Ju said, “The Red Cross Volunteer Society serves as a strong pillar in community disaster response,” and “I hope that through this workshop, the practical capabilities of the volunteers, as well as their ability to restore the community and solve problems, will be further strengthened.”
Meanwhile, the workshop held on the 5th and 6th was attended by members of the Namyangju City Council of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Society, who learned practical disaster safety education and teamwork activities.
