[Financial News]  A woman in her 30s who impersonated her ex-boyfriend's wife to obtain and send sex photos has been sentenced to prison.

The court found that the victim's privacy was seriously violated, but did not order immediate arrest considering the presence of young children.

According to the Suwon District Court Criminal Division 11 on the 7th, Judge Kim Su-jeong sentenced A to one year in prison and ordered completion of a 40-hour sexual violence treatment program and a five-year employment restriction at child, youth, and disabled welfare facilities for violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes.

The court emphasized that the crime was meticulously planned and caused significant mental distress to the victim.

Investigation revealed that in September 2018, A used the fact that her ex-boyfriend B's wife C had changed her phone number to open an additional mobile line with the same number.

During this process, when C's former lover D contacted her, A pretended to be C suffering from amnesia and demanded sex photos, receiving over 20 photos and sending more than 10 of them to B.
A was found to have committed the crime out of spite after B, with whom she had cohabited with marriage in mind, registered marriage with C.
