KOSPI Recovers 3200 Level... KOSDAQ Also Reclaims 800 Level [fn Morning Market]

[Financial News] The KOSPI index regained the 3200 level during the day, supported by buying from foreign and institutional investors.
As of 11:05 AM on the 4th, the KOSPI index is trading at 3200.02, up 0.49% from the previous trading day. On this day, the KOSPI started at 3188.84, up 0.14% from the previous session.
In the stock market, foreigners and institutions are net buying 58.8 billion won and 31.1 billion won worth of stocks, respectively. On the other hand, individuals are net selling 124 billion won worth of stocks.
As the New York stock market showed a rebound centered on tech stocks overnight, the domestic stock market is also seen to be positively influenced. However, the rise is analyzed to be limited as the US non-farm payrolls data is due to be released.
Lee Seong-hoon, a researcher at Kiwoom Securities, emphasized, "Today, the domestic stock market is showing an upward trend reflecting the surge effect of Alphabet and the rebound in tech stock prices amid the stabilization of US Treasury yields," and added, "However, the box range market trend is expected to continue as the market remains cautious ahead of the US non-farm payrolls data."
Among the top market cap stocks, SK Hynix (2.29%), LG Energy Solution (1.29%), and Doosan Enerbility (2.24%) are strong. On the other hand, Samsung Electronics (-0.36%), Hyundai Motor (-0.23%), Kia (-0.47%), and KB Financial (-1.54%) are declining.
By sector, medical precision instruments (2.78%), distribution (1.83%), and IT services (1.73%) are strong. On the other hand, insurance (-0.16%) and pharmaceuticals (-0.03%) are weak.
At this time, the KOSDAQ index is trading at 805.77, up 1.12% from the previous trading day. It is the first time in about six trading days since August 27th that the KOSDAQ has recovered the 800 level.
In the KOSDAQ market, foreigners and institutions are net buying 73.2 billion won and 15.8 billion won worth of stocks, respectively. On the other hand, individuals are selling 73.1 billion won worth of stocks.
