[Financial News] Mapo Police Station is operating a career experience program for youth throughout September and conducting crime prevention education together. On the 3rd, Mapo Police Station announced that it would start the 'Youth Career Experience Program' in partnership with Mapo District Office, Western Education Support Office, Mapo Fire Station, and Army Unit.
This program is designed to combine job experience and crime prevention education to help youth form the right values without being exposed to delinquency. The police aim to preemptively block juvenile crime and provide a foundation for growing into healthy members of society.
Youth participating in the program will visit police stations, fire stations, etc., every week from September for a month to learn about field work and education.
Youth will learn the importance of safety by handling equipment and experiencing situations in real field experiences with the police, fire department, and military. In the district office experience, they will visit major departments to directly engage in administrative work.
On September 2, 25 students from Ahyeon Elementary School visited Mapo Police Station to hear about police work from officers in the Women and Youth Division, Criminal Division, Investigation Division, and Traffic Division, and experienced the crime report reception and command process in the 112 Situation Room. They also learned about the dangers and safety rules of fixie bikes, which have frequent accidents, through education including crime prevention.
A Mapo Police Station official said, "This opportunity will be a chance for youth to design their own career paths and enhance their awareness of law and order," and added, "We will continue to expand the field of various job experiences."
