[Financial News] Baek Jong-won's The Born Korea has set a goal to achieve 100 billion won in overseas sales by 2030, using K-Sauce as a future growth engine.
CEO Baek held a 'TBK (The Born Korea) Global B2B Sauce Launch Demonstration' at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul on the 3rd and stated, "TBK is not just a product but a distribution brand that provides recipes and global food consulting together."
It is explained as a new business model based on 'global food consulting' that provides not only sauce products but also recipes and operations in a one-stop manner.
'Global Food Consulting' is a new type of global B2B business model that proposes cooking methods and recipes optimized for the local environment of each country worldwide, based on sauces independently developed by The Born Korea.
It is characterized by not only supplying sauces but also supporting recipe provision and menu expansion consulting tailored to the needs of local stores. It plans to provide everything from cost prediction, waste reduction, cooking efficiency, HACCP and ISO certification-based quality assurance, to chef training in a one-stop manner along with the sauce.
First, it will launch seven types representing the characteristics of K-food, including △Seasoned Chicken Sauce △Spicy Stir-fry Sauce △Soy Sauce Stir-fry Sauce △Soybean Paste Stew Sauce △Kimchi Seasoning Powder △Tteokbokki Sauce △Pickled Soy Sauce. Four more types, including △Ssamjang Sauce △Spicy Stew Sauce △LA Galbi Sauce △Jjajang Sauce, will be added by the end of the year.
In particular, the sauce package introduces a 'QR Code Recipe'. The recipe videos connected through the QR code are composed of short shorts averaging less than 1 minute, and they are detailed from ingredients to cooking order so that local chefs can easily follow the application recipes of various Korean dishes.
The Born Korea aims to achieve 100 billion won in overseas sales by 2030 through the full-scale global expansion of TBK sauce. It plans to promote a step-by-step localization strategy centered on major bases such as Asia, America, and Europe, and expand collaboration with large distribution companies and local restaurants. To this end, CEO Baek has volunteered to play the role of 'global sales vanguard' for the successful settlement of global B2B sauce. Starting this year, he plans to operate sauce demonstrations directly and lead meetings with overseas buyers and local chefs while touring the United States, Europe, Taiwan, China, and others.
CEO Baek said, "TBK is not just a product export but a distribution brand that provides recipes and global food consulting together," adding, "We will build a virtuous cycle structure that returns the achievements made in the global market back to domestic research and development (R&D)."
