KOSPI, Strong Consolidation with Foreigners' Net Buying...0.14%↑[fn Afternoon Market]

[Financial News] With foreigners' net buying, KOSPI is showing strong consolidation at the 3170 level.
According to the Korea Exchange on the 3rd, as of 1:40 PM, KOSPI is trading at 3176.88, up 4.53p (0.14%) from the previous day. The index started at 3177.75, up 5.40p (0.17%) from the previous day.
In the stock market, foreigners are net buying 2084 billion won, while institutions and individuals are net selling 2431 billion won and 311 billion won, respectively.
By sector, metals (2.24%), machinery/equipment (0.93%), and pharmaceuticals (0.82%) are strong, while insurance (1.74%), IT services (-0.76%), and transportation/storage (-0.65%) are weak.
Among the top market cap stocks, Doosan Enerbility (2.48%), Samsung C&T (1.61%), and SK Hynix (1.34%) are rising, while Hanwha Ocean (-4.79%), Samsung Life (-2.18%), and NAVER (-2.00%) are falling.
At the same time, KOSDAQ is trading at 793.86, down 0.14p (-0.02%) from the previous day. Individuals bought 812 billion won, while foreigners and institutions sold 365 billion won and 309 billion won, respectively.
Jaewon Lee, a researcher at Shinhan Investment Corp, said, "The KOSPI rose as foreigners' net buying continued for two consecutive trading days," adding, "Low-priced semiconductor buying continues."
