[Financial News] A tragic accident occurred in an empty lot in Cheongju, Chungbuk, where a woman in her 40s, who had parked her car incorrectly, was crushed between moving cars and died.
According to the police and fire authorities on the 3rd, a woman in her 40s, identified as Ms. A, was found trapped between two vehicles in an empty lot in Ochang-eup, Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju City, at around 7:54 AM that day.
Ms. A was immediately transferred to a nearby hospital in a state of cardiac arrest but ultimately passed away.
The investigation revealed that Ms. A had parked her vehicle in drive (D) mode. As the vehicle rolled forward, she attempted to stop it with her body and was crushed between it and another stationary vehicle.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, closely examining the vehicle's gear state and the parking process.
