KOSPI, Foreign-Institution Tug-of-War at 3170 Level [fn Morning Market]

[Financial News] With foreign buying and institutional selling overlapping, KOSPI is showing a steady trend at the 3170 level.
According to the Korea Exchange on the 3rd, as of 10:40 am, KOSPI is trading at 3176.75, up 4.40p (0.14%) from the previous day. The index started at 3177.75, up 5.40p (0.17%) from the previous day.
In the stock market, foreigners are net buying 1400 billion won, while institutions and individuals are net selling 1434 billion won and 119 billion won, respectively.
By sector, machinery/equipment (1.70%), metals (1.26%), and distribution (0.70%) are strong, while entertainment/culture (0.78%), insurance (0.91%), and food/beverages/tobacco (0.63%) are weak.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Doosan Enerbility (3.31%), Samsung C&T (1.85%), and Hyundai Motor (1.14%) are on the rise, while Hanwha Ocean (2.03%), HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (-1.56%), and NAVER (-1.56%) are on the decline.
At the same time, KOSDAQ is trading at 793.58, down 0.42p (-0.05%) from the previous day. Individuals are buying 827 billion won, while foreigners and institutions are selling 543 billion won and 134 billion won, respectively.
