Obtained Additional First-Class Certification for Floor Impact Sound Blocking Structure
[Financial News] Hyundai Construction, while accelerating the achievement of 'Zero Noise Between Floors', recently announced on the 3rd that it has additionally obtained a first-class certification for floor impact sound blocking structure from Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).
Hyundai Construction, having commercialized the first-class technology for reducing inter-floor noise for the first time in Korea, has now simultaneously acquired two first-class certifications in performance evaluations applying enhanced standards and evaluation methods. In this evaluation, the lightweight impact sound was 25dB and the heavyweight impact sound was 32dB, which is 5dB lower than the first-class standard (37dB) and reduced by more than 20dB compared to bare floors, confirming the industry's highest level of floor impact sound blocking performance.
The certified floor system effectively reduced various living noises such as walking, running, and furniture movement by applying the optimal combination and layered structure of cushioning composite materials. It applied soundproof materials with greater rigidity and lighter weight than before to enhance constructability and durability, and secured stability even under field conditions. Since obtaining the first-class certification for lightweight and heavyweight impact sound for five floor structures for the first time in Korea in 2022, Hyundai Construction has focused on advancing technology through its dedicated research facility, 'H Silent Lab'.
In particular, the first-class floor system was applied to 'The H Daechi Edelweiss', completed in the first half of this year, to verify resident satisfaction, establishing a virtuous cycle R&D system that leads to research, development, demonstration, and field application. Based on this demonstration experience, they are also developing an integrated solution that combines flat structure, vibration control, and noise detection algorithms.
A Hyundai Construction official said, "As inter-floor noise has emerged as a social issue, we have raised trust in the 'Quiet House' by securing the highest grade again," and "We will realize noise-free residential spaces and raise industry standards through high-performance technology development and field verification."
