[Financial News] The Korea Specialized Construction Association announced on the 3rd that it held a mutual cooperation promotion event with the Ethiopian Embassy in Korea on the 2nd.
The event was attended by Dasse Dalke Dukamo, the Ethiopian Ambassador to Korea, Consul Kim Sang-jin, Commercial Planning Officer Cha Won-ho, and other embassy officials, as well as Association President Yoon Hak-soo, Senior Vice President Lee Seong-su, Vice Presidents Kim Hyeong-gyeom and Hwang Woo-yeon.
The association decided to strengthen technical exchanges and cooperation with the Ethiopian Embassy in Korea in the fields of construction and industrial infrastructure.
The two countries will establish a mutually beneficial partnership in △exchange of information related to construction and infrastructure △technical sponsorship △exploration of ways for the overseas expansion of specialized construction businesses △investigation and support for securing water sources.
President Yoon Hak-soo said, "If the technological prowess of the specialized construction industry and Ethiopia's growth potential are combined, it will open new development opportunities for both countries," adding, "The association will continue to create opportunities for both countries to grow together in various fields and will do its best to ensure that specialized construction can contribute broadly within that."
Ambassador Dasse Dalke Dukamo said, "The Korean specialized construction industry possesses world-leading technology and has already proven its construction capabilities in the international market," adding, "We hope for help not only in technology transfer but also in various aspects through entry into Ethiopia."
Meanwhile, the Ethiopian government is pursuing large-scale projects in key infrastructure areas such as roads, railways, airports, housing, and water resources. The construction industry market size is expected to grow from approximately 23.8 trillion won in 2025 to more than four times that, reaching approximately 104.6 trillion won by 2034.
