[Financial News] LS Eco Energy recently announced on the 2nd that it has supplied ultra-high voltage power cables to the power network of a large-scale data center being developed by a global big tech company in the western part of Java Island, Indonesia. This facility, which ties together multiple data centers to enhance stability and security, is a cloud region that increases fault tolerance. Big tech companies are expanding their Southeast Asian market penetration by establishing new regions in Indonesia, following Singapore and Malaysia.
LS Eco Energy expanded its business to the ultra-high voltage cable sector through this project, following its supply of medium and low voltage power cables to the Philippines' largest data center, 'STT Fairview Campus,' last May.
According to LS Eco Energy, Indonesia, with a population of 270 million and a strategic location, is emerging as the largest digital economy in Southeast Asia.
Lee Sang-ho, CEO of LS Eco Energy, said, "The Southeast Asian data center market is expected to grow at an average annual double-digit rate," adding, "We will strengthen our local production and supply system to expand our presence in the global cloud infrastructure supply chain."
