National Assembly→Party Headquarters→National Assembly→Party Headquarters in Sequence for General Assembly Venue Change
According to the legal community on the 2nd, the special prosecutor team has been conducting searches and seizures at the home of former representative Choo in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, since the morning of that day.
The special prosecutor team is investigating suspicions that during the 12·3 martial law situation, former representative Choo, at the request of former President Yoon Seok-yeol's side, changed the venue of the People's Power general assembly several times, thereby obstructing the National Assembly's vote to lift martial law.
Former representative Choo is suspected of changing the venue of the general assembly three times in the order of 'National Assembly→Party Headquarters→National Assembly→Party Headquarters' immediately after the 12·3 martial law was declared, causing the majority of People's Power lawmakers to abstain from the vote. In fact, only 18 out of 108 People's Power lawmakers participated in the National Assembly's vote to lift martial law.
The special prosecutor team had previously searched the National Assembly Secretariat on the 21st of last month in connection with this. At that time, the search warrant listed former representative Choo as a suspect.
