On this day, the KOSPI closed at 3142.93, down 43.08p (1.35%) from the previous trading day. Starting at 3164.58, down 0.67% from the previous day, the KOSPI fell to 3135.02 (-1.60%) during the day.
In the stock market, foreigners and institutions sold a net 272.1 billion won and 193.6 billion won, respectively. On the other hand, individuals bought a net 346.6 billion won.
Among the top market capitalization companies, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix closed down at 67,600 won (-3.01%) and 256,000 won (-4.83%), respectively. By industry, the electrical and electronics (-2.00%) sector was sluggish.
The KOSDAQ index also closed at 785.00, down 11.91p (1.49%) from the previous session.
