Average Daily Wage in Construction Industry Rises by 1.7% Year-on-Year to 278,000 Won in Second Half

[Financial News] The average daily wage in the construction industry in the second half of this year rose by about 1% compared to the first half.
Daehan Construction Association announced on the 1st that the average wage across 132 job categories was 278,832 won, a 1.7% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the '2025 Second Half Construction Industry Wage Survey' results.
Looking at each category, the 91 general construction job categories, which account for the largest proportion, rose by 2% compared to the same period last year to 267,306 won. The optoelectronics category (3 jobs) was 434,567 won, up 1.8% compared to the same period last year, and the national heritage category (18 jobs) was 322,285 won, up 0.4% compared to the same period last year. The 4 nuclear power job categories rose by 0.6% compared to the same period last year to 241,443 won. This statistic is the result of surveying and compiling the wages of construction workers at 2,000 construction sites nationwide in May this year. It can be applied to construction cost calculations starting today.
