[Financial News] The Administrative Center Complex City Construction Agency announced on the 29th that it has allocated a budget of 288.8 billion won for the construction of the Administrative Center Complex City in 2026, an increase of 63.8 billion won (31%) compared to this year's budget.
Haengbokcheong has reflected 119.6 billion won for the design and land acquisition costs of the Presidential Sejong Office (24 billion won) and the National Assembly Sejong Hall (95.6 billion won) to actively promote the completion of Sejong, the administrative capital, which is a key task of the new government.
Additionally, to respond to increasing traffic demand and improve metropolitan accessibility, 21.2 billion won has been allocated for the construction of three metropolitan road routes, including the Bugang Station-North Daejeon IC connecting road (5.7 billion won) connecting Haengbok City and Daejeon.
The construction of the Sejong Police Agency (19.8 billion won) and the Police Special Forces (2.6 billion won) will also be promoted to timely respond to security and anti-terrorism demands for major national facilities.
Furthermore, to expand the city's cultural and welfare infrastructure, budgets have been secured and plans are underway for △the construction and operation of the National Museum Complex (60.3 billion won) △the construction of the Science Culture Center (1.4 billion won) △and the construction of public and convenience facilities such as the Complex Community (39.6 billion won).
Park Sang-ok, the Planning and Coordination Officer, said, "We will do our best to ensure that the government proposal is confirmed without any setbacks during the National Assembly's review process."
