[Financial News] Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on the 1st that it conducted a three-year training program to enhance the capabilities of Laos transportation experts.
KORAIL completed a two-week training program for 15 officials from the Laos Ministry of Public Works and Transport from August 14th, and held a completion ceremony on the 29th of the same month.
The trainees learned about the history, policies, and latest technologies of Korean railways and visited major domestic railway sites such as the Railway Traffic Control Center, the Metropolitan Railway Vehicle Maintenance Group, and the High-Speed Facility Business Group to experience the operation and management know-how of K-Rail.
Additionally, business meetings were held to establish practical networks between domestic railway-related companies and the Laos delegation, and to support domestic companies in exploring overseas market entry opportunities.
Furthermore, by sharing official development project strategies and drafting action plans, the trainees were able to establish their own railway development plans.
Jin-Hwan Cho, Head of the Overseas Business Division, said, "The three years spent with Laos transportation experts have become a foundation for strengthening the partnership between the two countries," and "Let's continue to cooperate in various fields in the future."
