[Financial News] The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that the 'Public-Private K-Transportation Alliance' will be launched on the 1st to address pressing transportation issues such as transportation disparities within the metropolitan area and between the metropolitan area and local regions, and to actively foster the future mobility industry.
The alliance is co-hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Hyundai Motor Company. Under four strategies: △ Addressing transportation disparities △ Enhancing transportation safety △ Strengthening transportation data cooperation △ Fostering the future mobility industry, the alliance plans to set policy tasks to solve problems felt in the field by collaborating with the private sector and the government.
The alliance allows participation from not only the government, local governments, public institutions, and academia, but also private companies active in various fields such as transportation, telecommunications, logistics, and data. Any interested companies and institutions can participate.
Additionally, the future mobility sector plans to prepare growth strategies in conjunction with the Mobility Innovation Forum, which marks its third year this year.
Kang Hee-up, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, said, "Transportation is now not just infrastructure, but an essential service that connects the daily lives and lives of the people," and "We hope that the public and private sectors will work together to advance towards a Korea without transportation disparities, where everyone can move freely and safely."
