[Financial News] Samsung Electronics announced on the 1st that it is accelerating its penetration into the domestic subscription market by newly launching the 'AI Subscription Club', which has enhanced consumer convenience and benefits. In addition to reducing the price burden from this month, Samsung Electronics will newly offer △ enhanced care services △ diversified payment methods △ the industry's most 22 partnership benefits.
First, Samsung Electronics is introducing the 'Blue Pass', a service that enhances convenience in all processes from product installation to after-sales service (AS).
The subscription-only care Blue Pass service is applied to the 'AI All-in-One 2.0' plan. Samsung Electronics has configured the service by combining new services that consumers wanted with the popular paid and free subscription services from the existing AI Subscription Club. First, the 'AS Fast Track' allows service reception without any limit on the number of times during the subscription contract period. However, usage may be restricted during the summer season from June to September.
The 'One More Service' allows an additional Samsung Electronics home appliance to be inspected without extra cost when receiving care for the subscribed product. The applicable products include Samsung Electronics refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, system air conditioners, TVs, dryers, and kimchi refrigerators. In addition, Samsung Electronics provides the 'AI Pre-Care Notification', which detects and informs of any abnormal signs in the products in use and proceeds with the visit repair reception, and the 'SmartThings Setting' service, where the installer connects to SmartThings during product installation to help use the product more efficiently. From the fourth quarter of this year, the 'Time Custom Installation' service, which provides installation services tailored to the desired date and time, will also be operated.
Samsung Electronics has significantly expanded the payment methods for the subscription program starting with the newly introduced AI All-in-One 2.0 plan. When subscribing to the all-in-one plan that combines products and care services, consumers can now pay with their existing credit and debit cards.
The subscription period can also be chosen more diversely to suit the consumer's situation. For home appliances, the options have been expanded from the existing 5 years to 3, 4, 5, and 6 years, totaling 4 options. For information technology (IT) products such as tablets and PCs, the period selection range has been expanded from the existing 3 and 4 years to 2, 3, and 4 years. It is also possible to pay part of the total subscription fee at once with 'prepayment' and to pay the monthly subscription fee using Samsung Electronics membership points.
Samsung Electronics provides premium partnership benefits across 5 fields, including △ transportation and communication △ travel and airport △ leisure △ education △ food and restaurant, with 22 companies. Partnership benefits are provided in various forms, such as price discounts, points, and coupons for the products and services of partner companies.
